Day 1: Welcome to Java - Dinner in Sultan Palace

Today you will be greeted by our Javanese driver at Yogyakarta Airport and continue your journey towards the center of Yogyakarta to your hotel. Distance of 1 hour 15 minutes of drive. 

After freshening up, our driver will be ready to take you on a unique experience to dine at a Sultan’s favorite restaurant. You’ll indulge in traditional Javanese dishes, served in a charming setting that promises a memorable evening filled with delicious flavors and and inviting ambiance.

Your accommodation in Yogyakarta - 1 deluxe double room - 3 nights

Day 2: The heart of Yogyakarta - Taman Sari water palace - Prambanan temple - Sunset in Plaosan temple

Today your journey will start at 08:00 am. You will be welcome by your english or french speaking guide at your hotel. First stop will be in Beringharjo traditional Market, goes through the little alley to discover the locals daily life and some traditional morning sweets. 
Continue the morning by taking a Becak, a three-wheeled vehicle to explore the famous street of Malioboro towards the Taman Sari water palace.

After lunchtime your journey will continue to the grandios temple of Prambanan. Our guide will introduce you to the knowledge of Hiduism while admiring this phenomenal architecture. The day would end with a visit to Plaosan temple while enjoying the sunset, marking the end of this beautiful day. 

 

Day 3: Selogriyo rice terrace and Borobudur temple

Your journey today will go towards Magelang 1,5hour drive to visit Selogriyo rice terrace. A truly beauty of cascading rice fields stand tall on a high green hills. A morning walk here, with fresh air and gentle warmth of the rising sun, is truly unforgettable. 
Continue the day by visiting the world famous Borobudur temple. Our guide will guide you through its stunning architecture and wall of deep meaning history while learning the culture of Hinduism. This journey will take you back to hundreds centuries religion and history in a zen atmosphere.  

Day 4: Train to east Java - Tea plantation - Colorful village

Today early morning at 06.45 you will take a 4 hour train towards Surabaya. On your arrival you will be welcome by our driver who will accompany you for the next 7 days. First stop is at the Wonosari tea plantation. Located on the foot of Arjuna mountain you have a chance to explore tea fields, learn the tea-making process, and enjoy the local brews.

After this tea break continue to explore the city center of Malang to visit colorful village of Jodipan.

Day 5: Tumpak Sewu waterfall and water cave Tetes

The journey continues towards Lumajang. To one of Indonesia’s most stunning natural wonders, Tumpak Sewu. Often called the “Niagara of Java,” this majestic waterfall features a wide curtain of water cascading from a 120-meter cliff into a lush green canyon. Surrounded by dense jungle and dramatic cliffs. The exploration will end with a trek to the cave's unique rock formations and enjoy the refreshing cascades and natural pool.

Day 6: Madakaripura waterfalls - Sunset in Bromo national park

Leaving Malang, continue your road trip towards the mountain. A first visit of the day is to the tallest waterfall on Java, with a height of approximately 200 meters. Madakaripura is a hidden gem, accessible by easy walk through dense jungle. You will walk around the river and the view of green cliffs accompanied by a local guide.

 

After this refreshing visit, the next stunning destination is inside the national park of Bromo. A scenery of green hills with a backdrop of a volcano crater. This part of the national park is not known by many, making it very quiet and serene. At the end you have a chance to visit a cafe that stands 2400 meters with a 360 view of the national park.

Day 7: Sunrise and Bromo volcano exploration

At 3 A.M our guide will take you on a hike under a thousand stars. The 1 hour hike will take you to the highest point to see the view of sunrise with the magical view of Bromo and Semeru volcano. Afterwards, you'll hike back down to your 4x4 and journey across the vast Sea of Sand to reach the crater of the legendary Mount Bromo. It's a day you’ll never forget. Bromo National Park is an awe-inspiring 8-hectare large with a touch of active volcano in a surreal landscape unlike anywhere else on Earth.

After the sunrise hike, today you will leave the village to continue your adventure to Kalibaru.

Day 8: Plantation Kalibaru - Djawatan forest - Jagir waterfall

Wake up to the serene beauty of a tropical garden surrounded by swaying palm trees. Today, your journey continues with a visit to a local plantation, where you’ll be warmly welcomed by a knowledgeable guide. Discover a variety of native and medicinal plants, and gain fascinating insights into the region’s rich agricultural heritage—including rubber trees, cloves, coffee beans, and more. 

 

Continue the road to the Djawatan Forest, surrounded by immense Trembesi trees. Before becoming a tourist forest, the area served as a storage area for teak timber. In 1970, the area was the victim of massive looting until it was finally abandoned. Instead of being abandoned, the Indonesian National Forestry Corporation later took over the area and transformed it into a tourist forest.

Before arriving at your hotel, enjoy one last refreshing stop at Jagir Waterfall, a hidden gem known for its crystal clear, pristine waters. Just a short 200 meter walk from the parking area, this tranquil spot offers the perfect chance to cool off with a swim surrounded by lush greenery and the soothing sound of cascading water.

Day 9: Ijen crater volcano

This would be another highlight of your journey, a visit to Ijen Crater, or Kawah Ijen. It is a spectacular active volcano, standing at an altitude of 2,386 meters. It’s world-famous for its rare electric-blue flames, caused by ignited sulfuric gases. The crater also holds one of the largest highly acidic lakes on Earth, glowing a surreal turquoise color.

An active sulfur mine operates inside the crater, where local miners carry heavy loads of bright yellow sulfur by hand. A tough and fascinating glimpse into traditional mining life. The hike to the rim takes about 1.5 to 2 hours and rewards visitors with otherworldly views and an unforgettable adventure.

Day 10: Snorkeling in Tabuhan island - Road to Bali

A hidden island of Tabuhan, still untouched by the crowds and known only to a few, awaits your discovery. With its pristine white sand beach and crystal-clear waters, this secluded paradise offers a true Robinson Crusoe experience. It's not uncommon to have the entire beach to yourself, with no other tourists in sight. Beneath the surface, vibrant coral reefs teem with colorful marine life, perfect for a refreshing snorkel. While you soak in the tropical sun and stunning views, our team will prepare a delicious beachside lunch for you to enjoy in this slice of paradise.

With your journey through Java coming to a close, our driver will escort you to the ferry port, where you’ll continue your adventure across with the ferry to the enchanting Island of the Gods, Bali.
