Situated in Southeast Bali, the Nusa Islands contains three captivating islands, Nusa Penida, Nusa Lembongan, and Nusa Ceningan. This is the perfect destination for exploring nature, surfing, snorkeling, cliff jumping, hiking and chilling on the white sand beach while enjoying the tropical vibes. Nusa Islands also popular as a spot to witness majestic Manta Ray and Mola Mola.

The best way to go to Nusa Penida is from Sanur Port. There are two options you can choose, leaving Sanur by a fast boat takes 30 minutes while a local slow boat takes 90 minutes. Both mostly depart in the morning around 08.00. It is highly recommended to stay at least two days to explore the islands.

Bali’s dry season spans from April to September, with days characterized by blue skies and sunshine. The months of May, June, and September are arguably the best time to visit Nusa Islands when the weather conditions are idyllic but visitor numbers are not at their highest, it means the tourism site is not too crowded. Temperatures in Bali are fairly consistent year-round, ranging from 26°C - 29°C.

Sanur - Nusa Islands

Most fast boats leave from Sanur Port and go directly to Nusa Islands, it only takes 30 minutes until you arrive.

Padang Bai - Nusa Islands

Ferries leave Padang Bai to Nusa Penida between 8.30 am to 9.30 am and between 5.30 pm to 6.30 pm.

If you visit Nusa Islands then Kelingking Beach should be on your list. Not far from Pulau Seribu, you can also explore the famous white sand tropical beach Atuh and it could be a good idea to combine these two sites on a one-day trip.

Angel’s Billabong is a crystal clear tide pool cascades on the east coast of Nusa Penida. The best time to visit Angel’s Billabong when the ocean in low-tide. From the vistas point, you can gaze down clearly the wonderful texture beneath. Angel's Billabong is a perfect destination to swim in the natural pool with the Indian Ocean as the background. During high-tide, you may experience a very different pool than the one you see in the picture below.

Broken Beach is a charming little cove in Nusa Penida. The highlight of the cove is the reason it called Broken Beach is due to the archway that wraps around the bay allowing water to flow in and out from the ocean. The arch at Broken Beach has been formed over many years and now it is become a famous mark of this location.

 

NUSA LEMBONGAN - DREAM BEACH

Dream Beach is a small bay enclosed by cliffs. This location has crystal clear water that exposes a nice reef below the surface. Even though bars and hotels line the beach make this location very touristy. However, Dream Beach still worth a visit.

 

NUSA LEMBONGAN - DEVIL’S TEARS

Devil’s Tears in Nusa Lembongan considered the best spot to enjoy the sunset on the island and possibly in Bali! Here, you can also spot some epic tide pools. The name of Devil's Tears probably inspired by the waves that come crashing into the cove and make the mist evaporate into heaven like tears.
