Lombok’s dry season spans from April to September, with days characterized by blue skies and sunshine. Temperatures in Lombok are fairly consistent year-round, ranging from 26°C - 29°C.
North Lombok is one of the oldest settlements on the island. Muslims, Hindus, and Buddhists are living together in this region peacefully. Bayan, further north is the home of the unique religion, Wetu Telu, which is only found in Lombok. Wetu Telu combined the original Sasak people’s traditional animistic beliefs with Islam and elements of Hinduism. One of the oldest and most important mosques Masjid Kuno has been built in 1634 on the small hill with a pretty view.

THE SOUTHWEST GILIS

Rinjani is famous not just for its impressive height but also for its incredible beauty. The active volcano is surrounded by a tropical rainforest jungle. On the lower slopes, it has savannah plains, and on the summit, it covered by the jagged of volcanic rocks. Everyone who climbs Rinjani agrees that the beauty of the volcano and its crater lake are well worth the grueling climb.
GILIS ISLAND
Gili Air, Meno, and Trawangan are the three group islands nestled on the northwest coast of Lombok. Only a short distance apart, it is easy to move between the three islands by wooden boat. Stay at least one night in each island is highly recommended. Gili Trawangan has labeled as a party island while Gili Meno is a perfect destination for couple who want to experience the intimate atmosphere. On the other side, Gili Air is less crowded compared to Gili Trawangan but not really silent like Gili Meno, you can find some good restaurants even bar here, but Gili Air still offers a calm vibe.
