Day 1: Flight to Labuan Bajo - Mirror Rock Cave - Kelor island - Snorkeling Menjarite - Sunset with view of flying foxes

Today marks the beginning of your Komodo adventure. You'll take an early morning flight from Bali to Labuan Bajo, the gateway to Komodo National Park. Your flight departs around 7:00 AM, allowing you to make the most of the day.
Upon arrival, our driver will welcome you and take you on a short tour around Labuan Bajo. Once a small fishing village, the town has grown into a charming harbor overlooking the Flores Sea and its many small islands. 

Afterwards, your first visit to Mirror Rock Cave (Batu Cermin), accompanied by a local guide, you'll explore this impressive limestone cave and learn about its remarkable geological history. Millions of years ago, the cave was part of the seabed before powerful tectonic movements gradually lifted it above sea level. Along the way, you'll discover ancient coral formations and fossils of fish and sea turtles embedded in the rock, evidence of its underwater past. The cave is much larger than most visitors expect, making it a surprising and memorable experience before continuing your journey.

After that, continue to your hotel and take some time to relax before the afternoon adventure begins. Surrounded by tropical gardens, the hotel features a swimming pool and a restaurant overlooking a beautiful white sand beach. You'll stay in a comfortable Deluxe Room.

You may enjoy lunch at the hotel before being picked up at 2:20 PM for the start of your boat excursion around the spectacular islands of Komodo National Park. 
You'll set off on a shared speedboat to explore some of the beautiful islands surrounding Komodo National Park. Along the way, you'll stop at Kelor island, a small uninhabited island known for its crystal-clear waters and soft white sand beach. If you wish, take a short walk to the hilltop viewpoint, where you'll be rewarded with beautiful panoramic views over the surrounding islands and turquoise sea. 

Next, continue to Menjarite, one of the best snorkeling spots near Komodo National Park. The calm, crystal-clear water makes it an ideal place to discover colorful coral gardens and a wide variety of tropical fish. If you are lucky you might spot some sea turtles. 

To end the day, you'll visit Kalong Island, where one of Komodo National Park's most unforgettable natural spectacles takes place. As the sun begins to set, hundreds of giant flying foxes emerge from the mangrove forest and fill the orange evening sky as they fly in search of fruit on the nearby islands. Watching these magnificent creatures soar overhead while the sky changes color is a truly unique experience and a perfect way to end your first day exploring the islands of Komodo National Park.

Day 2: Panoramic sunrise Padar island - Pink beach - Trek with Komodo dragon - Snorkeling with Manta Rays and sea turtles - Sand banks Makassar

Today your adventure begins early, with a speedboat departure at around 5:30 AM. The goal is to reach Padar Island at sunrise, when the island is at its most beautiful and before the crowds arrive. A moderate hike of approximately 800 steps leads to the summit, where you'll be rewarded with one of Indonesia's most spectacular viewpoints. Three crescent-shaped bays, each with a different coloured beach, white, pink, and volcanic black sand beaches framed by turquoise waters and rugged hills. As the first rays of sunlight illuminate the landscape, you'll have plenty of time to admire the scenery. 

Your adventure continues to Pink Beach, a unique beach in Komodo National Park. Its soft pink sand is created by tiny fragments of red coral mixing naturally with the white sand, giving the beach its distinctive colour. Take some time to relax, enjoy a swim, or discover the vibrant underwater world. The crystal-clear waters are home to beautiful coral gardens and an abundance of tropical marine life, making this one of the best snorkeling spots in the park. Keep an eye out for colorful reef fish, lionfish, groupers, and, if you're lucky, even a sea turtle gliding through the reef.

Your next stop is Komodo Island, home to the world's largest lizard, the famous Komodo dragon. Accompanied by a local ranger, you'll follow a short or medium-length trek through the island's dry savannah, learning about the unique wildlife and ecosystem along the way. Keep your eyes open, as you'll have the chance to observe Komodo dragons in their natural habitat. You may also encounter wild buffalo, deer, wild boars, and a variety of tropical birds that inhabit the island.

Your journey continues to Manta Point, one of the most exciting snorkeling sites in Komodo National Park. Along the way, keep an eye on the ocean, as pods of dolphins are sometimes seen swimming alongside the boat. If you're lucky, you may spot these playful creatures before reaching your destination. At Manta Point, you'll enter the water with our local guide in search of the majestic reef manta rays. With wingspans reaching up to 6 metres, these gentle giants are often seen gliding gracefully through the clear waters as they visit natural cleaning stations or feed on plankton.

A short distance away lies Taka Makassar, a tiny sandbank surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise water. Depending on the tide, this beautiful stretch of white sand appears like a small island in the middle of the ocean, making it a perfect place to relax, take photos, and enjoy the stunning scenery.

Before returning to Labuan Bajo, you'll make one final snorkeling stop at Siaba Island. Famous for its calm waters, Siaba is one of the best places in Komodo National Park to encounter green sea turtles. Swim among colorful coral reefs and tropical fish while keeping an eye out for these gentle creatures as they glide effortlessly through the water. 

Day 3-4: To white sand beach island

Today, our driver will pick you up from your hotel and transfer you to the harbour. After checking in, you'll board a boat bound for one of the region's most beautiful island escapes. Surrounded by crystal-clear turquoise water and soft white sand, this secluded paradise is the perfect place to relax at the end of your holiday. 
Slip into the water and discover a vibrant underwater world filled with colorful coral reefs and tropical marine life. Whether you choose to snorkel, swim, or simply relax on the beach, today is all about enjoying the natural beauty and peaceful atmosphere of this island.

For the next 3 days and 2 nights, this tropical island near Komodo national park will be your home. You'll stay in a comfortable beachfront glamping tent featuring one double bed and a private bathroom with a shower. Wake up to beautiful views of the turquoise sea and enjoy the sunrise from the comfort of your own terrace, your very own beach house for the next few days.
All meals are included during your stay, allowing you to simply relax and enjoy island life. The property also features a beachfront restaurant, a bar, a dive centre, and plenty of sun loungers overlooking the ocean. Snorkeling equipment will be provided, and you are welcome to use the complimentary kayaks to explore the crystal-clear waters.

Day 5: Return to Labuan Bajo

Enjoy one last relaxing morning on the island before checking out. At 2:00 PM, you'll board the boat back to Labuan Bajo, with the journey taking approximately one hour.
Upon arrival, our driver will be waiting to transfer you for lunch before continuing to the airport for your flight back to Bali. As your time in Labuan Bajo comes to an end, we hope you'll leave with unforgettable memories of turquoise waters, incredible wildlife, and the breathtaking islands of Komodo National Park.

What do I need to bring to visit Komodo National Park?

To enjoy your Komodo National Park adventure comfortably, we recommend packing light, breathable clothing suitable for the tropical climate, preferably bright color. The temperature during the day can reach to 32 celcius. Bring comfortable walking shoes for trekking on Komodo and Padar Islands, as well as swimwear, a towel, and reef-safe sunscreen for snorkeling and beach visits. A hat, sunglasses, insect repellent, and a reusable water bottle are also highly recommended to stay protected from the sun and heat.
A waterproof bag is ideal for keeping your phone, camera, and other valuables dry during boat trips. Don't forget your camera or smartphone you'll want to capture the incredible landscapes, wildlife, and crystal-clear waters that make Komodo National Park one of Indonesia's most spectacular destinations.

How many days do you need in Komodo National Park?
We recommend spending 4 to 5 days in Komodo National Park to fully appreciate everything the region has to offer. While a one-day tour covers the main highlights, a longer stay allows you to explore more islands, enjoy several snorkeling sites, experience sunrise at Padar Island, visit secluded beaches, and relax without feeling rushed. It also gives you time to discover the charming little town of Labuan Bajo.

When is the best time to visit Komodo National Park?
Komodo National Park can be visited throughout the year. The dry season, from April to October, generally offers sunny weather, calm seas, and excellent visibility for snorkeling and diving. During the green season, from November to March, the islands become lush and vibrant, with fewer visitors. Manta rays can be seen year-round, although sightings are never guaranteed as they are wild animals.

Can you swim with manta rays in Komodo?
Yes. Manta Point is one of the world's best places to snorkel with reef manta rays. These gentle giants often visit the area to feed on plankton and to use natural cleaning stations. Accompanied by an experienced local guide, you'll have the opportunity to enter the water and observe them respectfully in their natural habitat. How difficult is the Padar Island hike?

The hike to the famous Padar Island viewpoint is considered moderate. It consists of approximately 800 steps and usually takes around 30 to 45 minutes, depending on your pace. While the climb can be challenging under the tropical sun, most visitors with an average fitness level complete it comfortably.

The best time to visit Padar Island is at sunrise, when the landscape is illuminated by beautiful shades of orange, pink, and purple. Besides offering the most spectacular views, the early morning is also the most comfortable time for the hike.
As the sun rises higher, temperatures increase quickly, and the climb becomes much more challenging. Padar Island has very little vegetation, meaning there are almost no trees or shaded areas along the trail. By late morning, the heat can be intense, especially between 8:00 AM and 10:00 AM, when the island also becomes much busier.
